The original of this is a tiny 6 x 4 inch oil painting.
This is probably my favourite piece yet. I adore the sea, coming from a long line of fishermen, and I have deep feelings when standing on the shore or a ship that I do not have anywhere else. The sound, the smell that pervades your clothing and hair, the soft spray touching your very soul. To be at one with the ocean is to be one with the very essence of life.
My purpose in this painting was to try and capture the lightness of my heart when out there. To allow you to feel the spray, to smell the salty water.... to feel the wind on your face without leaving your home......... To take you on a voyage through my imagination.
